Okay so you had the Osmonds an the Jacksons. You had Julia Baker and Ann Romano trying to raise kids on their own. Why the angels didn't have a black counterpart, I guess they weren't ready for that yet. Anyway point of topic, which African American women of the Blaxploitation era (Not just the actresses of Blaxploitation films but 70s in general.) could you see Angel counterparts..would Pam Grier have been Sabrina? Could you see Jayne Kennedy as Jill, Diahann Carroll as Kelly.
Oh yeah who would have made a good Bosley and Charlie? |

Ever since my post regarding Sup's birthday wish, I've given this alot of thought.
I put Jayne Kennedy, Marilyn Joi and Pam Grier in my avatar, but in my mind they are from different seasons somewhat. Here's my take:
1st Season:
Tamara Dobson=Sabrina (the smart one)
Pam Grier=Jill (the athletic one)
Jayne Kennedy=Kelly (the pretty one)
2nd Season thru 3rd Season:
Jill leaves and her younger sister Kris comes to replace her:
Tamara Dobson=Sabrina
Jayne Kennedy=Kelly
Teresa Graves=Kris (the rookie)
4th Season:
Sabrina leaves and is replaced by Tiffany:
Jayne Kennedy=Kelly
Teresa Graves=Kris
Judy Pace=Tiffany (the intellectual)
5th and Final Season:
Tiffany stays east and is replaced by Julie:
Jayne Kennedy=Kelly
Teresa Graves=Kris
Marilyn Joi=Julie (the streetwise trashy one)
As for Bosley, I think Sherman Hemsley would have made a fun Bosley. He would have been a little more cantakerous, but the humorous piece would be there or Paul Winfield would have taken the role a little differently.
As for Charlie, let's face it, you need a voice that would have resonated over a speakerbox....James Earl Jones or Ossie Davis.
I think Carol Speed, would have made a good angel, too. Maybe she could have taken the Nancy Fox or Cis Rundle roles.
Anyway...That's my take. |

damn it iconer you took my Tamara Dobson answer.
That chic that plays Eve on WW made a few angel appearences (the black chic in backfield and the judge in angels child) also I think Melanie and Candy from season 1 and two would have made nice black angels... |
